Video: What's new in WPF for "Orcas"/3.5/VS 2008

While it's not KevinButton, I do spend some time walking through what's new and what's better in our next release.

Thanks to Charles and Tim for coming over.

Not the best picture of me. Maybe I should have shaved. You can see the fireworks from Lake Okoboji in the background, though.

Enjoy the video!

I need help.
How do you make your zap scroller. I am making a custom login and that would be very useful and nice to use.

Great video, Kevin.
I got excited about the custom TextElements.

Where can I see a sample of such a custom TextElement. Can you help?

Thanks a lot. :)

Another great video keeping us all in the loop.

For the (near) future: to assist WPF in becoming a useful business platform, it would help to see more common controls such as date/time picker, basic chart control and numeric updown, grid included.

I know some of these are available via 'bag o tricks', via control vendors, and eventually on codeplex but it is important to have full versions of these to make serious applications without investing additional time and money. Hosting winforms controls doesn't really cut it either once the application has a nice wpf templated look. These missing items take the focus from application development and are usually unexpected for new WPF users.
